1. About This Policy

BlackSeat ("we", "us", "our") is a ticketing platform for live events, developed and operated by Junzi Tech Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through our mobile application and website, why we collect it, and your rights over it.

By using BlackSeat you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Data We Collect

Account information

Email address, display name, and optional profile photo when you register or set up your profile.

Payment information

Payment card details and billing information are processed directly by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we only receive a payment token and transaction status from Stripe.

Location (optional)

If you grant permission, we use your device location to show nearby events on the map. We do not store or share your precise location; it is used only in real-time within the app session.

Camera (optional)

Camera access is requested only to let you take or select a profile photo. We do not access your camera for any other purpose.

Push notification token

If you enable notifications, we store a push token to send you event reminders and updates you have opted in to.

Usage and crash data

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs to improve stability. These logs may contain device type, OS version, and anonymized stack traces. They do not contain payment or location data.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and operate the BlackSeat ticketing service
  • Process ticket purchases and issue refunds via Stripe
  • Display your profile to other users in the app
  • Send push notifications for events you follow or tickets you hold (only if you have opted in)
  • Diagnose crashes and improve app performance via Sentry
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties and do not use it for targeted advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following parties:

  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting
  • Law enforcement or government authorities when required by law

All third-party providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data-processing agreements with us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account it is soft-deleted immediately and permanently removed within 30 days. You may request early permanent deletion by contacting us.

Anonymized crash logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time
  • Revoke location or camera permissions via device settings

7. Children's Privacy

BlackSeat is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and row-level security in our database to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of BlackSeat after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
